I cannot log in

There are various reasons why you might not be able to log in to StoryBox. Below are some of the most common causes and possible solutions.

1. Incorrect Password

Ensure that you are using the correct password. Check if the Caps Lock key is on or if you have made any typos. If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password?" function (in Web) or the "Send me a new Magic Link" on mobile to request a new one.

2. Network Issues

Check your internet connection. If your network connection is unstable or interrupted, it can affect the login process. Try logging in again once the connection is restored.

3. Corporate Firewall or VPN

Some companies use firewalls or VPNs that can block certain functions. Verify if your network environment has these restrictions. If necessary, contact your IT department to ensure that StoryBox is not being blocked. Check out this article to see what needs to be whitelisted.

4. Expired Magic Token

If you were logged in using an invitation link and then are logged out after a while. The first invitation link into StoryBox contains a Magic Token that expires once used. We advise every user whan entering StoryBox for the first time, to set a private password in his account under the tab "User" as a first step. If you have missed this - don't worry. In this case, you need to request a new Magic-Link. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the article.

5. User Account or User Role

If the above solutions do not help, it might be that your user account is not set up correctly or you have a role that restricts access (e.g., mobile users cannot log in on the web). Ask an administrator to check if you are set up as a user and what user role you have.
