Collaboration

For the invitation to the collaboration, the desired user must first be created in advance. It is important that all fields are filled in and that an appropriate role is assigned to the user.
Currently, each user (except for the guest role) must be assigned at least one template in order for the StoryBox app to work. However, if in doubt, the exercise template can be used here if none of the existing projects are to be visible to the user.
When creating a new user, please note that the permission to share/download videos is controlled by an extra toggle in the user profile.
Overview of permissions for the different roles:


User Role Description
Company Administrator  ...can manage and edit: all templates/projects/users/videos
End User ...can manage and edit: only his own projects/videos
Mobile App User ...can only create videos via smartphone
Guest  ...can edit only individual scenes to which he was invited

 

If a new user is added to your Company, he will automatically receive a "Magic-Link" from the system, which invites him to the app.
If for some unknown reason the magic link does not work, you can simply request a new link at the log in mask or you let your StoryBox Customer Success Manager know. He/she can have a new link generated or assign a password as well.
For a collaboration, the invited user must be able to log into the app (except for the guest role). Without logging in, a project cannot be uniquely assigned.
Note on the guest role: This user can only work collaboratively, but cannot create their own projects. This person must not be created in advance, but is automatically defined as a guest by the system upon invitation.
